Joey's Sheet of Many Colors

There’s a green Rambo horse sheet in my garage draped over a sawhorse that my grandfather made years ago.

It’s the first thing I see when I pull my car into the garage, and it always makes me smile.
The sheet belonged to Joey. His name is embroidered on the green garment (which was cleaned and water-proofed each year) beside the latches that were frequently replaced. None of this loving care mattered to Joey. He simply detested being covered.
About this time of year, to deter anyone who wished to keep him from being exposed to the elements, he would grow a wooly bay-colored coat. That’s how he liked to deal with frost and freezing.

Even later in life, when he was well into retirement, he abhorred a cover. He didn’t care how much it cost, or that it was a special pony-sized order or how adorable he looked…he just wanted you to take it off him, please!
This video has nothing to do with horse sheets, but I love it because it’s so…Joey!
