Cheval magazine

JoAnn Shannon

A dear friend recently visited Paris and picked up a copy of the marvelous Cheval magazine for me.

There was a feature story on dressage and equestrian star Isabell Werth. The German-born Werth, was a Gold Medalist at every one of the six Olympic Games she participated in.

There were other interesting articles including one on La Garde républicaine - the mounted police force showcased in my December blog. (I’m so cutting edge!)

Here are a few more magazine highlights:

Technology: Masque Spirit from Back on Track.

The Spirit is an anti-stress mask. It’s an original therapeutic mask that is designed to help your horse relax and concentrate naturally.

The design is intended to soothe stressed or fearful horses. Stylish features include eye openings, wing embroidery on the nose bridge and elasticized seams for a perfect fit.

The two layers of fabric which covers the ears, are infused with Welltex®️ therapeutic technology.

Fashion: Does anyone know the Flags & Cup brand?

One thing I noted versus our American publications is that safety vests were both prominent and fashionably portrayed in the French magazine.

Meditation and harmonization of chakras took center stage. But the yoga lessons were not for the riders – they were for the horses!

Ooh la la!
