Movement Method

The last week of our recent trip to Greece included a yoga retreat at the beautiful Aegialis Hotel and Spa.
My yoga skills amount to laying in savasana in a semi-sleep state. However, I felt compelled to exert myself because I was surrounded by my sister, Cindy, and thirty-seven other yogis.
I found everyone helpful and Cindy anxious that I did not embarrass her.
Specialists in Movement Method, instructors Kate Gillespie and her online partner in this discipline, Matt Phippen, took us through flow-based sequences that blend science-based movement principles with ribcage and breathing mechanics, designed to improve our functional mobility.
It sounded Greek to me until I got home. My first ride on Captain, I discovered my improved mobility when I could hold my outside leg back behind the girth at the canter. Captain says, thank you!
