Autumn Reset

There’s time for reflection in the fall. Gone are the hurried days of summer with vacation planning, late sunsets, get-togethers with friends, and gorgeous weather that makes reading a book inside seem scandalous.

My husband and I have weathered the season with two puppies and somehow, we survived and the house is still standing.
Teddy is now eight months and Fletcher is six.
We know the next years of youthful exuberance are fleeting and they’ll settle into sedate adulthood all too soon.
So, we continue to be patient and enjoy the ride.

Captain is in his twenty-third year and is showing no signs of growing older.
Still, I treasure every day and every ride with him.
We’ve come so far together and have forged a wonderful bond.
As the days grow shorter, I’m reflecting on what is and am feeling grateful.
